Actinopods

Actinopods means:

Actino = ray

pods = foot

So, its means ray foot because axopodia (a slender form of pseudopodia which extend through perforations in the test). When actinopods die, their shells settle and become ooze (soft deposit on the bottom of a body of water) or sediment that can be several meters thick on the ocean floor.

####Helizoan (primarily in freshwater) that have stiff axopodia to capture prey
